Created by Chef Judy Joo, this indulgent grilled cheese blends sharp blue cheese and cream cheese with crispy bacon, peppery arugula, and slices of fresh Subarashii […]
This moist, egg-free banana bread uses Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pear Spread as a natural binder and subtle sweetener. Blended with ripe banana, melted butter, and just a hint of sugar, it bakes into a tender, golden loaf that’s comforting, easy to make, and surprisingly flavorful—no eggs required.
½ cup butter
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
¾ jar Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pear Spread
1 very ripe banana (ideally frozen then defrosted)
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt (if preferred)
Note: Asian Pear spread acts like a natural binder (just as eggs do in baking). It’s particularly flavorful in baking darker breads, cakes & cookies when out of eggs.
