What Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pear varieties might I find in my box?
It depends on the harvest. When you order, we select the variety that’s perfectly ripe on that day. September may include Asaju or RuthiSan, while October might bring you JunoSan or EliSan. November and December could feature AnaSan, LilySan, or SuSan. Each time you order a Fruit du Jour Gift Box, you’re in for a wonderful surprise.

What gift box sizes are available?
We offer three gift box sizes to suit your appetite or gift-giving plans.

• Small (3 lbs): Includes 4–6 petite Asian Pears. 
• Medium (5 lbs): Includes 5–7 medium-sized Asian Pears. 
• Large (9 lbs): Includes 9–18 Asian Pears in a range of sizes, from petite to large.

Can I choose a specific variety?

The Fruit du Jour Gift Box is all about the element of surprise—it features the freshest, ripest pears hand-selected by our orchard experts on the day of your order. If you prefer to choose a specific variety, we recommend our Artisan’s Choice Gift Box, where you can choose your favorite Asian Pear variety.

How are the pears packed for shipping?

Each Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pear is carefully hand-wrapped and packed by our team in custom-designed, padded boxes to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. When your gift recipient opens their box, they’ll be greeted with our traditional presentation—each pear as beautiful and flawless as the day it was picked. How do I keep my pears fresh?

Once you receive your box of Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pears, unwrap them and store them in your crisper drawer. When kept chilled, your pears will stay perfectly ripe for up to a month.
