Created for our 2026 Spring Recipe Contest, this homemade granola gets a naturally sweet boost from dried Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pears.
Rolled oats, nuts and seeds create plenty of satisfying crunch, while maple syrup, honey and apple butter add just enough sweetness. Enjoy it with yogurt, milk or simply by the handful.
3¾ c rolled oats (organic if possible)
2 tbsp walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts, chopped
2 tbsp raw hulled sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
4 tbsp raw flaxseed (yellow or brown)
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
2 tbsp raw sugar
2 tbsp honey
1/3 c + 1 tbsp unsweetened apple butter or apple sauce
30 pieces dried Asian pears, chopped (to make about 2/3 c finely chopped)
2 tsp vanilla extract
